Common questions

  • How long do links last? Free links stay online for 7 days. Subscribers can keep links permanently (plans).
  • How do I delete a link? Open it from My links (or the manage link you got when you uploaded) and choose Delete. Assistants can call delete_link.
  • My link says it isn’t published yet. Some links are only published once you subscribe (Starter or Pro). Subscribe and it goes online shortly after; if you don’t, it is deleted when the 7-day free period ends. Every upload is still subject to our safety checks.
  • A link says “checking” or “in review”. Most uploads go live right away and are scanned in the background within seconds. Some links are held for a person to review.
  • My upload was blocked. Uploads aren’t available over VPNs, proxies, Tor or hosting networks. Turn the VPN off, or connect an assistant to your account. See the acceptable use policy.

Using Put It Online from an AI assistant

Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code and other MCP clients can publish files and pages for you. Setup steps, the MCP server address and API keys are on Connect to AI. To disconnect an assistant, use the same page. Assistants that aren’t signed in have lower limits; reconnect with https://putit.online/mcp/account to sign in.
